Clarke Lane Engineering and R&R Broadcast

RR Catalogue R&R Broadcast started out in 1992 as a Broadcasting Installation Design Consultancy.

It soon became apparent that incompatibilities in broadcast equipment from different suppliers presented a significant barrier to good organisation and design.

To overcome this problem R&R began to develop its own designs and sub-contracted manufacture. Over time R&R moved into direct manufacture of its own designs and the range of products available also expanded. Clarke Lane Engineering was a major sub-contrator to R&R at this time.

The quirky R&R broadcasting equipment catalogue featuring Harry the Dog proved to be very popular and R&R also became regular exhibitors at Broadcast Trade Shows.

Design activities were relocated to Australia in 2000 with manufacturing continuing at the UK operation until October 2002. At this point Clarke Lane Engineering bought the manufacturing assets and stock of R&R.

Finally Clarke Lane first manufactured R&R designs under an exclusive license agreement but now owns the designs outright.

Clarke Lane Engineering has over 30 years experience in the sheetmetal industry and prototyping products.

The business is well located in a modern, purpose built factory near to the M27 in Southampton.
